Charlotte Emlinger is an economist at CEPII in the International Trade Analysis program and coordinates research contracts for the center.

She holds a PhD in Economics from the Institut Agro Montpellier and a HDR from Paris Saclay University, and is a specialist in international trade.

Her current research focuses on trade policies (free trade agreements, sanctions, trade wars, non-tariff measures), the competitiveness of exporting firms, and the impact of standards and quality on trade. She is particularly interested in trade in agricultural and agri-food products.

Charlotte Emlinger spent three years in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Tech, where she worked for the Center for Agricultural Trade (CAT), focusing in particular on the impact of trade wars on US agricultural trade.
